This 4-day tour combines the spiritual essence of Amritsar with the peaceful landscapes of Dalhousie. Day 1: Arrival in Amritsar – Wagah Border Ceremony (Approx. 30 km / 1 hr)
Upon arrival at Amritsar Airport or railway station, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, take some time to relax and freshen up. In the afternoon, begin your exploration with a visit to the Wagah Border to witness the famous Beating Retreat Ceremony, a spectacular display of patriotism and synchronized military drills. Feel the electrifying atmosphere as crowds cheer and flags are ceremoniously lowered. Later, visit Jallianwala Bagh, a historic memorial reflecting India’s freedom struggle. Day 2: Amritsar Sightseeing – Drive to Dalhousie (Approx. 200 km / 5–6 hrs)
After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Amritsar with a visit to the Golden Temple to experience its serene morning ambiance and spiritual significance. Continue to Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum and explore exhibits related to Sikh history. Walk through Hall Bazaar, a vibrant market offering handicrafts and local delicacies. Visit Durgiana Temple and Gurdwara Baba Atal Rai, known for their architectural beauty. Later, drive to Dalhousie through scenic mountain roads with views of lush valleys and hills. Day 3: Dalhousie Sightseeing & Local Exploration
After breakfast, begin your exploration of Dalhousie, a charming hill station spread across five hills. Visit Subhash Baoli, a peaceful spot surrounded by pine forests offering panoramic views of the mountains. Continue to Panchpula, known for its streams, waterfalls, and scenic beauty. Visit Satdhara Falls, famous for its mineral-rich waters and tranquil surroundings. Explore colonial-era landmarks such as St. John’s Church and St. Francis Church, showcasing British architecture. Day 4: Dalhousie – Dharamshala – Amritsar Departure (Approx. 200 km / 6–7 hrs)
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and begin your return journey to Amritsar. En route, visit Dharamshala, a scenic hill town known for Tibetan culture. Explore the Dalai Lama Temple Complex and Namgyal Monastery, offering a peaceful spiritual experience. Enjoy views of the Dhauladhar mountains and the tranquil surroundings of McLeodganj. Continue your drive to Amritsar. Upon arrival, visit the Partition Museum to understand the historical significance of India’s independence. Later, transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey, concluding your memorable tour.
