This 8-day journey through Assam and Arunachal Pradesh offers a perfect blend of wildlife exploration, Himalayan landscapes, Buddhist heritage, and tribal culture. Starting from Guwahati, the tour takes you to Orang National Park for a unique safari experience before ascending into the scenic hills of Arunachal Pradesh through Bomdila, Tawang, and Dirang. Discover ancient monasteries, high-altitude passes, historic forts, and traditional villages while interacting with local communities and experiencing their rich cultural traditions. The journey continues through the lush forests of Nameri National Park and the historic town of Tezpur, before concluding in Guwahati with visits to sacred temples and river islands. Day 1: Guwahati – Orang National Park (Approx. 110 kms / 3–4 hrs)

Upon arrival at Guwahati airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and begin your drive to Orang National Park, often referred to as the “Mini Kaziranga” of Assam. The journey takes you through lush countryside, tea gardens, and rural landscapes, offering a glimpse into the region’s natural beauty. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation and relax amidst serene surroundings. In the evening, you may take a short nature walk around the property or simply unwind in the peaceful environment. This park is known for its population of one-horned rhinoceros, wild buffalo, deer, and a variety of bird species. Overnight at Orang National Park.


Day 2: Orang National Park – Bomdila (Approx. 180 kms / 6–7 hrs)

Begin your day with an early morning gypsy safari inside Orang National Park, accompanied by a trained naturalist. Explore the grasslands and wetlands while spotting wildlife such as rhinos, wild boar, deer, and exotic bird species. After the safari, return to the hotel for breakfast and proceed on a scenic drive to Bomdila. The route gradually transitions from plains to hilly terrain, offering breathtaking views of valleys and forests. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel or guest house. Later, explore the local market known for Tibetan handicrafts, woolen items, and traditional artifacts. Enjoy the cool mountain atmosphere in the evening. Overnight at Bomdila.


Day 3: Bomdila – Tawang (Approx. 180 kms / 8–9 hrs)

After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to Bomdila Monastery, a peaceful Buddhist site reflecting Tibetan architecture and spiritual traditions. Continue to Bomdila View Point for panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges and surrounding valleys. Later, drive towards Tawang, one of Arunachal Pradesh’s most iconic destinations. En route, cross the breathtaking Sela Pass, known for its snow-covered peaks and high-altitude beauty. Stop at Sela Lake for photography and a brief refreshment break. Continue your journey and visit Nuranang Waterfalls, a spectacular cascade set amidst lush greenery. Arrive in Tawang by evening, check in at your hotel, and spend the rest of the evening at leisure exploring the local market. Overnight at Tawang.


Day 4: Tawang Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin a full day exploring the spiritual and cultural highlights of Tawang. Visit the magnificent Tawang Monastery, one of the largest monasteries in the world, known for its grand structure, ancient scriptures, and serene ambiance. Continue to Urgelling Gompa, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, offering a tranquil and spiritual experience. Visit the Tawang War Memorial, a tribute to soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1962 war. Later, explore the scenic beauty of the region with views of Shungetser Lake (Madhuri Lake) and the towering Gorichen Peak, surrounded by dramatic Himalayan landscapes. Return to your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening. Overnight at Tawang.


Day 5: Tawang – Dirang (Approx. 140 kms / 6–7 hrs)

After breakfast, depart for Dirang, a picturesque valley town known for its natural beauty and cultural heritage. En route, visit Jaswant Garh War Memorial, an important historical site dedicated to a brave Indian soldier. Continue your journey with a stop at Sela Lake, where you can enjoy the pristine surroundings and high-altitude views. Upon arrival in Dirang, check in at your accommodation. Later, explore Dirang Dzong, an ancient fortified settlement that reflects traditional architecture and local lifestyle. Visit the Hot Water Spring, known for its therapeutic properties, and relax in the peaceful surroundings. Overnight at Dirang.


Day 6: Dirang – Tezpur via Nameri National Park (Approx. 190 kms / 6–7 hrs)

After breakfast, begin your journey towards Tezpur. En route, visit Nameri National Park, a beautiful forest reserve known for its rich biodiversity, birdlife, and scenic river landscapes. You may enjoy a short nature walk or simply soak in the natural beauty of the area. Continue your drive and stop at Bhalukpong Fort, an ancient fort with historical significance. Upon reaching Tezpur, check in at your hotel and proceed for local sightseeing. Visit Agnigarh, a hilltop site associated with mythology, followed by Bamuni Hills, known for ancient sculptures and ruins. Continue to Da-Parbatia, an archaeological site featuring remnants of an ancient temple, and conclude the day at Chitralekha Uddyan, a beautifully landscaped park ideal for relaxation. Overnight at Tezpur.


Day 7: Tezpur – Guwahati (Approx. 180 kms / 4–5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and begin your city tour. Visit the revered Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important Shakti Peethas in India, attracting devotees from across the country. Continue to Navagraha Temple, dedicated to the nine celestial bodies, offering panoramic views of the city. Later, take a ferry ride to Umananda Island, located on the Brahmaputra River and known as the smallest inhabited river island in the world. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and scenic views before returning to the hotel. Overnight at Guwahati.


Day 8: Guwahati Departure

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed for a comfortable transfer to Guwahati airport for your onward journey.
