Day 1: Arrival in Dibrugarh – City Tour
Upon arrival at Dibrugarh Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and some relaxation, begin the city tour of Dibrugarh, a town renowned for its tea heritage and scenic beauty. Visit Jokai Botanical Garden, known for its rich collection of flora and peaceful walking trails. Continue exploring the town, observing local Assamese life and colonial influences. You may also visit nearby markets to experience local culture and handicrafts. The day offers a relaxed introduction to Assam’s charm. Overnight at hotel in Dibrugarh.
Day 2: Dibrugarh – Excursion to Jeypore Rainforest (Approx. 65 km one way / 1.5 hrs)
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Jeypore Rainforest, one of the most important rainforest ecosystems in Assam. Begin a guided walk through dense forest trails, home to diverse flora, rare bird species, and wildlife. The serene surroundings and fresh air provide a refreshing nature experience. After exploring the rainforest, drive back to Dibrugarh. In the afternoon, visit a nearby tea estate to understand tea cultivation and processing techniques. Walk through lush plantations and enjoy a tea tasting session. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight at hotel in Dibrugarh.
Day 3: Dibrugarh – Drive to Majuli (Approx. 155 km / 5–6 hrs including ferry)
After breakfast, drive to Nimathi Ghat (approx. 140 km / 4 hrs) through scenic rural landscapes and tea gardens. On arrival, board a ferry to Majuli Island (approx. 1 hour ferry ride) across the Brahmaputra River. Upon reaching Kamalabari Ghat, transfer to your lodge and check-in. Begin exploring Majuli, known for its Satras (monasteries) and unique tribal culture. Visit local villages and interact with the Mishing community, observing their stilt houses and traditional weaving practices. Enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the island. Overnight at lodge in Majuli.
Day 4: Majuli – Ferry – Drive to Dibrugarh & Departure (Approx. 155 km / 5–6 hrs)
After breakfast at the lodge, transfer to Kamalabari Ghat and board the ferry back to Nimathi Ghat. Enjoy scenic views of the Brahmaputra River during the crossing. Upon arrival, drive back to Dibrugarh. En route or upon arrival, visit a tea research center or estate to gain deeper insights into Assam’s globally renowned tea industry. Later, transfer to Dibrugarh Airport for your onward journey. The tour concludes with memorable experiences of Assam’s nature, culture, and river landscapes.
