Bangalore to Hampi & Badami

Day 1: Bangalore – Hampi (350 km / 7–8 hrs drive)

Upon arrival in Bangalore, you will be greeted and begin your drive to Hampi, covering approximately 350 kilometers in around 7 to 8 hours. En route, visit Chitradurga Fort, a massive hill fort known for its impressive fortifications and panoramic views. Continue your drive through scenic landscapes and rural Karnataka before reaching Hampi. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax after the long journey. The evening is free to explore the surroundings or enjoy the tranquil ambiance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Hampi Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Hampi, once the glorious capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. Visit the sacred Virupaksha Temple, followed by Hazara Rama Temple known for its intricate carvings. Explore the Royal Enclosures including Mahanavami Dibba and ancient palace foundations. Continue to admire the massive Ugra Narasimha statue and the famous Vithala Temple, renowned for its iconic stone chariot and musical pillars. Visit Lotus Mahal and Queen’s Bath, showcasing Indo-Islamic architecture. Return to the hotel in the evening after a full day of exploration. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Hampi – Badami (190 km / 5 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Badami, covering approximately 190 kilometers in around 5 hours. En route, visit Anagundi village, known for its ancient temples and traditional lifestyle. Enjoy a unique coracle ride on the Tungabhadra River, offering scenic views of the surrounding landscape. Continue your drive towards Badami through picturesque countryside. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. The evening is free to explore the town or unwind at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Badami – Aihole – Pattadakal – Badami

After breakfast at the hotel, begin a full-day excursion to explore the heritage sites around Badami. Drive to Aihole, known as the cradle of Indian temple architecture, and explore its numerous ancient temples. Continue to Pattadakal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing early Chalukyan architecture with beautifully carved temples. Later, return to Badami and explore the famous Badami Cave Temples carved into sandstone cliffs. Visit Badami Fort offering panoramic views and conclude at Agastya Lake, surrounded by temples and hills. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Badami – Hubli (110 km / 3 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Hubli, covering approximately 110 kilometers in around 3 hours. Enjoy a comfortable drive through scenic countryside. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Hubli Airport for your onward journey. The tour concludes with wonderful memories of Karnataka’s rich history and architectural heritage.
