Day 1: Bangalore – Mysore – Kabini / Nagarhole National Park (230 km / 5–6 hrs drive)
Begin your journey with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Bangalore and drive towards Mysore through scenic countryside and rural Karnataka landscapes. Upon arrival, begin the city tour with a visit to the magnificent Mysore Palace, a symbol of royal grandeur known for its intricate interiors and architectural brilliance. Continue to Chamundi Hills for panoramic views of the city and visit St. Philomena’s Church, admired for its neo-Gothic style.
Proceed to explore the artistic Jaganmohan Palace and local markets before continuing your drive towards Kabini, located on the fringes of Nagarhole National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your wildlife lodge and relax amidst serene forest surroundings. Enjoy dinner at the resort while soaking in the peaceful jungle ambiance. Overnight at lodge.
Day 2: Kabini / Nagarhole National Park Safari Experience
Start your day early with a guided morning jeep safari in Nagarhole National Park, part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and one of India’s finest wildlife habitats. Traverse forest trails and grasslands while spotting elephants, gaurs, deer, langurs, and a variety of bird species, with chances of sighting elusive predators like leopards.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and leisure time, where you can relax or enjoy the natural surroundings. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic boat safari along the Kabini River, offering a unique perspective of wildlife gathering near the water. This experience is ideal for birdwatching and photography, with sightings of crocodiles, otters, and vibrant birdlife. Conclude the day with dinner at the lodge. Overnight at lodge.
Day 3: Kabini – Bangalore (230 km / 5–6 hrs drive)
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning amidst the tranquil forest setting before checking out from your lodge. Begin your return drive to Bangalore, passing through scenic landscapes and small towns along the way.
En route, you may stop briefly for refreshments or to enjoy countryside views. Reflect on your experiences of Mysore’s royal heritage and the thrilling wildlife encounters at Kabini.
