Day 1: Bhuj – Narayan Sarovar Sanctuary – Lakhpat – Hodka (Approx. 125 kms / 3–4 hrs drive)
Upon arrival in Bhuj, you will be greeted by our representative and begin your scenic drive towards Narayan Sarovar Sanctuary, located near the westernmost edge of India. This sanctuary is known for its arid ecosystem and rare wildlife such as chinkara, desert fox, and migratory birds. Enjoy a guided safari experience, exploring the rugged terrain and unique biodiversity of the region. Continue your journey to the sacred Koteshwar Temple, a revered Shiva temple located near the Arabian Sea, offering a serene spiritual atmosphere and stunning coastal views. Later, visit the historic Lakhpat Fort, an abandoned town that once thrived as a port, now offering hauntingly beautiful ruins and panoramic desert vistas. After breakfast, check out from your resort and begin your return journey to Bhuj. En route, visit Nirona Village, a traditional artisan village known for its rare and ancient Rogan art, a unique hand-painted textile craft practiced by only a few families in India. Witness artisans at work and gain insight into this intricate art form that has been preserved for generations. You may also explore other crafts such as copper bell making and lacquer work in the village. Continue your drive back to Bhuj, where you will be transferred to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
