Day 1: Drive from Rajkot to Velavadar National Park (Approx. 160 km / 3–4 hrs)
Begin your journey with a pickup from your hotel or airport in Rajkot and drive towards Velavadar National Park. The drive takes you through the rustic landscapes of Gujarat, passing villages, agricultural fields, and open countryside. Upon arrival, check into your safari lodge and enjoy a welcome drink. Spend some time relaxing amidst the tranquil surroundings or take a short nature walk near the lodge to observe local birdlife. As evening sets in, enjoy a traditional Gujarati dinner at the lodge, offering a taste of regional flavors. Day 2: Velavadar National Park Safari and Return to Rajkot (Approx. 160 km / 3–4 hrs)
Wake up early and proceed for an exciting morning wildlife safari in Velavadar National Park, accompanied by an expert naturalist. Explore the park’s unique grassland ecosystem, which provides ideal habitat for the elegant blackbuck, often seen in large herds. You may also spot nilgai, jackals, wolves, jungle cats, and a variety of bird species including pelicans, flamingos, and storks during the season. The open terrain allows for excellent visibility and photography opportunities.
After the safari, return to the lodge for breakfast and some leisure time. Later, check out and begin your drive back to Rajkot. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel or airport, concluding your memorable wildlife getaway in Gujarat.
