Day 1: Drive from Vadodara to Velavadar National Park via Lothal (Approx. 175 km / 4–5 hrs)

After breakfast at your hotel, begin your journey from Vadodara towards Velavadar National Park. En route, visit the historic site of Lothal, one of the earliest known ports of the Indus Valley Civilization. Explore the archaeological remains, including the ancient dockyard, drainage systems, and well-planned urban structures that reflect advanced engineering of the time. Visit the site museum to gain deeper insights into Harappan culture, trade, and daily life.

After the visit, continue your drive to Velavadar National Park. Upon arrival, check into your safari lodge and relax amidst the peaceful surroundings of the grassland ecosystem. Explore the park’s unique grassland terrain, ideal for spotting large herds of blackbucks in their natural habitat. You may also encounter nilgai, jackals, wolves, jungle cats, and foxes. The park is a paradise for bird lovers, with species such as pelicans, flamingos, cranes, storks, and the rare Lesser Florican during certain seasons.
