Day 1: Arrival in Darjeeling
Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and begin your scenic drive to Darjeeling. The journey takes around 3 to 4 hours depending on road conditions and offers beautiful views of green valleys, tea plantations, and mountain landscapes along the way. As you ascend into the hills, the air becomes cooler and the atmosphere more peaceful, setting the tone for your Darjeeling experience. On arrival, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax after the journey. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to enjoy the calm surroundings and colonial charm of the town. Day 2: Darjeeling Sightseeing with Tea Estate Visit
Start early in the morning with a visit to Tiger Hill to witness one of the most spectacular sunrises in the Himalayas. On clear days, the first rays of sunlight illuminate the snow-clad peaks of Mount Kanchenjunga, creating a breathtaking view. After this memorable experience, stop at the historic Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Darjeeling, known for its peaceful ambiance and impressive Maitreya Buddha statue. Return to the hotel for breakfast and then continue with a full day of sightseeing. Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, where you can learn about the history of mountaineering in India and the achievements of Tenzing Norgay. Continue to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, home to rare Himalayan species such as the red panda and snow leopard. Later, enjoy a nostalgic ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering scenic views of the hills and tea gardens. In the afternoon, visit a tea estate and tea factory to understand the process of tea cultivation, plucking, processing, and tasting. This visit gives you a first-hand experience of Darjeeling’s famous tea culture. You may also visit the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre or local markets for handicrafts and souvenirs. Day 3: Darjeeling – Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and prepare for your return journey to Bagdogra Airport. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some time for a short stroll or a final tea stop before departure. Enjoy the scenic drive down from the hills, taking in the last views of the tea gardens and Himalayan landscapes. Our representative will assist you with a comfortable transfer to the airport.
