Delhi to Agra & Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary Tour

Day 1: Delhi – Agra – Bharatpur (275 kms | approx. 5–6 hrs drive)

Begin your journey with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel in Delhi and drive to Agra via a smooth expressway. Upon arrival, begin the city tour with a visit to the world-famous Taj Mahal, an architectural masterpiece built in white marble. Admire its intricate carvings, symmetrical gardens, and the romantic story behind its creation as your guide shares fascinating insights into Mughal history.

Continue to the majestic Agra Fort, a UNESCO-listed red sandstone fortress that served as the main residence of Mughal emperors. Explore its grand palaces, courtyards, and halls including Diwan-i-Aam and Diwan-i-Khas, while enjoying scenic views of the Yamuna River and distant Taj Mahal.

Proceed to Mehtab Bagh, a serene garden complex located across the river, offering one of the most picturesque views of the Taj Mahal—perfect for photography and peaceful moments. Day 2: Bharatpur – Delhi (210 kms | approx. 4–5 hrs drive)

Begin your day with an early morning visit to Keoladeo National Park, one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world. Explore the park on a cycle-rickshaw or electric vehicle accompanied by a naturalist guide. Witness a diverse range of bird species including painted storks, cranes, pelicans, eagles, and migratory birds depending on the season. The park is also home to animals like jackals, deer, and nilgai, making it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.

After the safari, proceed to visit Bharatpur Palace, an elegant blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture, housing a museum with royal artifacts, manuscripts, and exhibits reflecting the region’s heritage. Continue to Lohagarh Fort, renowned for its invincibility and strong defenses that withstood several British attacks. Explore its massive gates and bastions while learning about the valor of the Jat rulers.
