Delhi to Agra & Fatehpur Sikri
This 2-day journey is designed for travelers seeking a quick cultural escape from Delhi to Agra and beyond. Begin with a comfortable drive to Agra and explore world-famous landmarks including the stunning Taj Mahal, the majestic Agra Fort, and the elegant Itmad-ud-Daula Tomb. On the second day, visit the UNESCO-listed city of Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar, featuring impressive structures like Buland Darwaza and Panch Mahal. Day 1: Delhi – Agra (210 km / 4 hrs drive)
After breakfast at your hotel, begin your journey as you drive to Agra, covering approximately 210 kilometers in around 4 hours via a comfortable highway. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up before beginning the city tour. Visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, a timeless symbol of love built by Shah Jahan, and admire its intricate marble craftsmanship and symmetrical gardens. Continue to Agra Fort, a grand Mughal fortress offering stunning views of the Taj Mahal from its ramparts. Later, visit the beautiful Itmad-ud-Daula Tomb, known for its delicate marble inlay work. After sightseeing, return to your hotel for relaxation. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Delhi (260 km / 5–6 hrs drive)
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Fatehpur Sikri, located approximately 40 kilometers from Agra. Begin the guided tour of this well-preserved Mughal city built in the 16th century by Emperor Akbar. Explore key structures including Diwan-i-Khas, Jodha Bai Palace, Jama Masjid, the Tomb of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal, and the grand Buland Darwaza. The city reflects a unique blend of Persian and Indian architectural styles. After completing the sightseeing, drive back to Delhi, covering approximately 260 kilometers in around 5 to 6 hours. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel or airport, marking the end of your tour.
