Day 1: Leh – Chang La Pass – Pangong Lake (Approx. 150 km / 5–6 hrs)
After an early breakfast at the hotel, begin your journey to Pangong Lake by driving through the scenic route via Karu. The drive takes you through beautiful landscapes with changing terrains, from green valleys to rugged mountains. Continue ascending towards Chang La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes, where you can stop to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks and capture memorable photographs. Descend from the pass into the picturesque Shakti Valley, known for its natural beauty and peaceful surroundings. En route, pass through Tangtse village, where you may spot migratory birds and Tibetan marmots along the roadside. Continue the drive towards Pangong Lake, where the sight of the vast blue lake set against barren mountains creates a truly magical experience. Upon arrival, check-in at your camp or guesthouse and relax. In the evening, enjoy leisure time by the lakeside, witnessing the changing colors of the lake as the sun sets. Dinner and overnight stay at camp/hotel near Pangong Lake.
Day 2: Pangong Lake – Leisure Walk – Return to Leh (Approx. 150 km / 5–6 hrs)
After breakfast at the camp, spend some peaceful time exploring the beauty of Pangong Lake. Take a leisurely walk along the lakeshore, enjoy the serene atmosphere, and capture stunning photographs of the crystal-clear waters and surrounding mountains. You may also interact with local villagers and experience the unique lifestyle of people living in this remote region. After enjoying the tranquil morning, begin your drive back to Leh via the same scenic route, crossing Chang La Pass once again. En route, enjoy multiple photo stops and soak in the breathtaking Himalayan views. Upon arrival in Leh, transfer to your hotel or airport for onward arrangements.
