This 16-day private journey showcases the architectural brilliance and royal legacy of India through a rich circuit of Mughal and Rajput destinations. Starting in Delhi, you will explore iconic monuments that reflect the grandeur of the Mughal era before traveling to Mandawa, a hidden gem known for its beautifully painted havelis. The route continues through Jaipur, Pushkar, Jodhpur, and Udaipur, where forts, palaces, lakes, and sacred spaces reveal the spirit of Rajasthan. From Bundi’s historic charm to Ranthambore’s wildlife and Orchha and Gwalior’s regal monuments, the itinerary offers a perfect balance of heritage and discovery. The journey concludes in Agra with the breathtaking Taj Mahal before returning to Delhi, leaving you with a deep appreciation of India’s royal traditions and cultural richness.

 

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and assisted with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, take time to rest and recover from your journey. Delhi offers a fascinating introduction to your tour with its mix of imperial history, bustling streets, and modern energy. The rest of the day is free for leisure, allowing you to relax at the hotel or explore the surroundings at your own pace. Overnight at hotel in Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, begin a full-day sightseeing tour of Delhi. Start with Old Delhi, where you will visit Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques, and the magnificent Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk and witness the lively markets and traditional street life. Continue to Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, and later explore New Delhi with visits to Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, India Gate, and a drive past Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House. Day 3: Delhi to Mandawa

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Mandawa covering approx. 250 kms / 5–6 hours. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax for a while. Mandawa is famous for its richly decorated havelis and artistic frescoes, which reflect the legacy of merchant families and the old Silk Route trading culture. Later, begin exploring some of the town’s most admired havelis, including Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, Murmuria Haveli, and Jhunjhunwala Haveli. Spend the evening walking through the old lanes and admiring the heritage architecture that gives Mandawa its unique character. Overnight at hotel in Mandawa.

Day 4: Mandawa to Jaipur

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Jaipur covering approx. 170 kms / 4 hours. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. Jaipur, the Pink City, welcomes you with colorful streets, royal charm, and a vibrant atmosphere. The rest of the day is free to explore the local bazaars, where you can find jewelry, handicrafts, textiles, and traditional Rajasthani souvenirs. Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin your full-day sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Visit the grand Amber Fort, a hilltop fortress known for its impressive courtyards, palaces, and mirror work. Continue to the City Palace, a beautiful blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, and then to Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory. Stop for photographs at the iconic Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, and later visit Sisodia Rani Garden and Birla Temple. Day 6: Jaipur to Pushkar

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Pushkar covering approx. 145 kms / 3–4 hours. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and take some time to relax. Pushkar is one of the most sacred towns in India, known for its holy lake, spiritual ambiance, and vibrant market lanes. Visit the Brahma Temple, a rare shrine dedicated to Lord Brahma, and spend time near Pushkar Lake, where devotees gather for rituals and peaceful reflection. Day 7: Pushkar to Jodhpur

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Jodhpur covering approx. 190 kms / 4–5 hours. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. Jodhpur, the Blue City of Rajasthan, offers a dramatic skyline of blue-painted houses and imposing forts. Begin sightseeing with the mighty Mehrangarh Fort, known for its palaces, museum, and panoramic views of the city. Continue to Jaswant Thada, a graceful marble cenotaph, and later explore Mandore Gardens, which preserve the memory of Marwar rulers. Overnight at hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 8: Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Udaipur covering approx. 260 kms / 5–6 hours. En route, visit the renowned Ranakpur Jain Temple, admired for its exquisite marble work and 1,444 intricately carved pillars. Continue the drive through scenic landscapes and arrive in Udaipur, the City of Lakes. Check in at the hotel and relax. Day 9: Udaipur Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin a full-day sightseeing tour of Udaipur. Visit the grand City Palace, which overlooks Lake Pichola and offers a splendid display of royal architecture and museum collections. Continue to Saheliyon ki Bari, a charming garden with fountains, marble kiosks, and lotus pools. Visit Jagdish Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and later enjoy a serene boat ride on Lake Pichola, offering beautiful views of the city’s palaces. Day 10: Udaipur to Bundi via Chittorgarh

After breakfast, drive to Bundi covering approx. 275 kms / 6–7 hours. En route, explore the magnificent Chittorgarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India and a symbol of Rajput bravery and sacrifice. Continue your journey to Bundi and check in at your hotel. Later, explore Bundi’s heritage attractions, including its palaces, stepwells, and old lanes that reflect the town’s traditional charm. The evening is free to relax and absorb the peaceful atmosphere. Overnight at hotel in Bundi.

Day 11: Bundi to Ranthambore

After breakfast, drive to Ranthambore covering approx. 150 kms / 3–4 hours. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax amidst the forest surroundings. In the evening, visit Ranthambore Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that rises dramatically above the tiger reserve and offers a glimpse into the region’s royal and military past. Also visit the Trinetra Ganesh Temple located inside the fort. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Ranthambore.

Day 12: Ranthambore Safaris

Start the day early with a jeep safari in Ranthambore National Park, accompanied by an experienced naturalist. Explore the park’s forests, open grasslands, lakes, and rocky terrain while keeping watch for Bengal tigers, leopards, deer, sloth bears, and many bird species. Return to the hotel for breakfast and leisure time. In the afternoon, proceed for another safari to increase your chances of wildlife sightings. Day 13: Ranthambore to Orchha via Shivpuri

After breakfast, drive to Orchha covering approx. 300 kms / 6–7 hours. En route, stop at Shivpuri to visit the chhatris and enjoy the scenic surroundings. Continue to Orchha and check in at the hotel. Orchha is a historic town known for its palaces, temples, and cenotaphs along the Betwa River. In the evening, take a peaceful boat ride on the river and enjoy the quiet beauty of this heritage destination. Overnight at hotel in Orchha.

Day 14: Orchha to Gwalior

After breakfast, spend some time exploring Orchha’s important monuments, including its forts, temples, and cenotaphs, each reflecting Bundela architectural grandeur. Later, drive to Gwalior covering approx. 125 kms / 2–3 hours. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and begin sightseeing with the imposing Gwalior Fort, one of the most powerful forts in central India. Continue to Jai Vilas Palace and the Sas Bahu Temples, both admired for their architecture and historical importance. Overnight at hotel in Gwalior.

Day 15: Gwalior to Agra

After breakfast, drive to Agra covering approx. 120 kms / 2–3 hours. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Later, visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases Mughal strength and elegance. Continue to Itimad-ud-Daulah, also known as the Baby Taj, and admire its delicate marble inlay work. In the evening, visit Mehtab Bagh for a beautiful sunset view of the Taj Mahal across the Yamuna River. Overnight at hotel in Agra.

Day 16: Agra to Delhi Departure

Start the day early with a visit to the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when the white marble glows beautifully in the morning light. After this memorable experience, return to the hotel for breakfast and check-out. Later, drive back to Delhi covering approx. 210 kms / 4–5 hours. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station for your onward journey. Your royal tour concludes with unforgettable memories of Mughal and Rajput heritage.
