Upon arrival at Gaya airport, you will be warmly received and transferred to your hotel in Bodhgaya, the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage site. After check-in and some relaxation, begin your spiritual journey with a visit to the UNESCO-listed Mahabodhi Temple, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Spend peaceful moments under the revered Bodhi Tree, absorbing the serene and meditative atmosphere. Explore surrounding monasteries built by different Buddhist nations, each reflecting unique architectural styles and traditions. This introduction sets a deeply spiritual tone for the journey ahead. Visit Vulture’s Peak, where Buddha delivered many sermons, and explore the Saptaparni Cave, believed to be the site of the first Buddhist council. Continue to Nalanda, home to the ruins of one of the world’s oldest universities, once a thriving center of Buddhist learning. Walk through the remains of monasteries, temples, and lecture halls that echo centuries of scholarly excellence. Later, drive to Patna, the capital of Bihar, and check in at your hotel. After breakfast, begin your journey to Kushinagar, an important site marking Buddha’s final days. En route, visit Vaishali, where Buddha delivered his last sermon and announced his Mahaparinirvana. Explore the Ashokan Pillar and sacred pond, reflecting the city’s ancient heritage. Continue to Kesariya to witness one of the tallest and most impressive Buddhist stupas in the world.
