Goa to Archaeological Wonder of Karnataka

Day 1: Drive from Goa to Belgaum (Approx. 125 km / 3–4 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up and begin your drive to Belgaum. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax before beginning the city tour. Visit Belgaum Fort, a historic structure dating back to the 13th century, featuring a blend of Hindu, Jain, and Islamic architecture within its complex. Continue to Kapileshwar Temple, a revered shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva known for its spiritual ambiance. Later, proceed to Rajhansgad (Yellur) Fort, located on a hilltop offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. After sightseeing, return to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Belgaum.

Day 2: Drive from Belgaum to Vijayapura via Gokak Falls (Approx. 220 km / 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin your drive to Vijayapura (Bijapur). En route, visit Gokak Falls (approx. 70 km / 1.5 hrs), one of Karnataka’s most impressive waterfalls, known for its scenic beauty and hanging bridge viewpoint. Spend time exploring the surroundings and visiting the nearby Mahalingeshwara Temple. Continue your drive to Vijayapura. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Day 3: Vijayapura Sightseeing & Drive to Hampi (Approx. 220 km / 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Vijayapura, known for its magnificent Indo-Islamic monuments. Visit Gol Gumbaz, famous for its massive dome and whispering gallery. Continue to Ibrahim Rouza, Jama Masjid, Asar Mahal, Bara Kaman, Mehtar Mahal, and the Malik-e-Maidan Cannon, each reflecting the grandeur of the Adil Shahi dynasty. After completing the sightseeing, begin your drive to Hampi. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight at hotel in Hampi.

Day 4: Hampi City Tour (Local Sightseeing)

After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India’s most remarkable archaeological landscapes. Visit the Virupaksha Temple, followed by the Vittala Temple complex known for its iconic stone chariot and musical pillars. Explore the Hazara Rama Temple, Lotus Mahal, Queen’s Bath, Elephant Stables, and the Royal Enclosure. Walk through ancient market streets and ruins that showcase the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire. After sightseeing, return to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Hampi.

Day 5: Drive from Hampi to Badami via Lakkundi & Gadag (Approx. 180 km / 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin your drive to Badami. En route, visit Lakkundi (approx. 90 km / 2–3 hrs), known for its ancient temples and stepwells reflecting fine craftsmanship. Continue to Gadag (approx. 15 km / 30 mins) to visit the Trikuteshwara Temple, famous for its detailed carvings and historical significance. After completing the en route visits, continue your drive to Badami. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight at hotel in Badami.

Day 6: Badami, Aihole & Pattadakkal Sightseeing (Approx. 70 km / 2–3 hrs total driving)

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your exploration of Badami’s famous cave temples carved into sandstone cliffs. Continue to Bhutanatha Temple located near Agastya Lake, offering scenic and spiritual surroundings. Later, drive to Aihole (approx. 35 km / 1 hr), known as the cradle of Indian temple architecture. Visit Durga Temple, Lad Khan Temple, and Ravanaphadi Cave Temple. Proceed to Pattadakkal (approx. 15 km / 30 mins), a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its blend of architectural styles. Explore Virupaksha Temple, Papanatha Temple, Galaganatha Temple, and Sangameshwara Temple. After sightseeing, return to Badami. Overnight at hotel in Badami.

Day 7: Drive from Badami to Goa (Approx. 250 km / 6–7 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin your return journey as you drive to Goa. Enjoy scenic countryside views and rural landscapes along the way, with opportunities for short breaks. Upon arrival in Goa, you will be transferred to your hotel or airport for your onward journey. The tour concludes with unforgettable memories of Karnataka’s archaeological and cultural treasures.
