Goa to Hampi & Badami Extension Tour

Day 1: Drive from Goa to Hampi via Gadag & Lakkundi (Approx. 340 km / 7–8 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up and begin your drive to Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient ruins. En route, visit Gadag (approx. midway halt) and explore the historic Trikuteshwara Temple and Kashi Vishwanatha Temple, known for their intricate carvings and Chalukyan architecture. Continue your journey to Lakkundi (approx. 50 km / 1 hr from Gadag), famous for its stepwells and ancient temples showcasing fine craftsmanship. After exploring these heritage sites, proceed with your drive to Hampi. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax after the long journey. Overnight at hotel in Hampi.

Day 2: Hampi City Tour (Local Sightseeing)

After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Hampi, one of India’s most remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit the iconic Virupaksha Temple, an active temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, followed by the grand Vittala Temple complex, famous for its stone chariot and musical pillars. Continue exploring the Lotus Mahal, Queen’s Bath, and Elephant Stables, reflecting the royal lifestyle of the Vijayanagara Empire. Walk through the ancient bazaar streets and admire the vast ruins spread across the landscape. In the evening, proceed to Hemakuta Hill to witness a mesmerizing sunset overlooking the boulder-strewn terrain of Hampi. After sightseeing, return to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Hampi.

Day 3: Drive from Hampi to Badami via Aihole & Pattadakkal (Approx. 140 km / 4–5 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin your drive to Badami. En route, visit Aihole (approx. 35 km / 1 hr), often referred to as the cradle of Indian temple architecture. Begin exploration of temples such as Durga Temple, Lad Khan Temple, Ravanaphadi Cave Temple, and the Konti Group of Temples, showcasing early architectural experimentation. Continue your drive to Pattadakkal (approx. 15 km / 30 mins), a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique blend of Dravidian and Nagara styles. Visit Virupaksha Temple, Mallikarjuna Temple, Papanatha Temple, and Sangameshwara Temple, admired for their intricate carvings and historical significance. Later, proceed to Badami (approx. 25 km / 45 mins) and visit the famous Badami Cave Temples carved into sandstone cliffs. After sightseeing, check in at the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Badami.

Day 4: Drive from Badami to Goa via Banashankari (Approx. 250 km / 6–7 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin your return journey as you drive to Goa. En route, visit the Banashankari Temple (approx. 5 km / 15 mins), dedicated to Goddess Parvati and known for its serene surroundings. Continue your drive through scenic countryside landscapes, with opportunities for short refreshment stops along the way. Enjoy the transition from heritage interiors back to coastal Goa. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel or airport for your onward journey. Overnight not included (tour ends).
