09:00 AM – Pick-up from Hotel in Amritsar

Begin your day with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel in Amritsar. Meet your professional guide who will accompany you throughout the journey, offering deep insights into Sikh history, colonial heritage, and local culture as you explore the city.

Golden Temple – Spiritual Heart of Sikhism

Start your exploration with a visit to the revered Golden Temple, the holiest shrine of Sikhism.

Walk barefoot along the marble pathways surrounding the sacred Amrit Sarovar (Pool of Nectar), and witness the golden sanctum shimmering in the water. Experience the soulful recitation of Gurbani (holy hymns), creating a deeply calming atmosphere.

You may also visit the world’s largest community kitchen, Guru Ka Langar, where thousands are served free meals daily regardless of religion or background—an inspiring example of equality and service.

Jallianwala Bagh – A Historic Tribute

A short walk from the temple brings you to Jallianwala Bagh.

Explore this poignant memorial that commemorates the tragic events of 1919. See the preserved bullet marks on the walls and the Martyrs’ Well, while your guide narrates the historical significance of this site in India’s freedom struggle. The atmosphere here is reflective and deeply moving.

Partition Museum – Stories of Resilience

Continue to the nearby Partition Museum, one of the most important museums for understanding the history of India’s partition in 1947.

Through photographs, personal belongings, letters, and oral histories, the museum vividly presents stories of migration, loss, and resilience. This experience offers international travelers a deeper understanding of the subcontinent’s shared past.

Hall Bazaar & Local Market Walk

Proceed to the bustling Hall Bazaar, one of the city’s most vibrant shopping areas.

Walk through narrow lanes filled with traditional Punjabi juttis, Phulkari embroidery, spices, and handicrafts. Enjoy interacting with local vendors and observing everyday life. This is an excellent place to pick up souvenirs and experience Amritsar’s lively street culture.

Lunch at Local Restaurant

Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant (if option selected), where you can savor authentic Punjabi cuisine such as Amritsari kulcha, chole, paneer dishes, and refreshing lassi. This culinary break adds a flavorful dimension to your cultural experience.

Gobindgarh Fort – Living Heritage Experience

After lunch, visit the historic Gobindgarh Fort.

This beautifully restored fort offers a glimpse into Punjab’s royal past. Explore museums, cultural exhibits, and traditional performances within the fort complex. Learn about Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s legacy while enjoying a lively cultural atmosphere that blends history with entertainment.

Wagah Border – Evening Ceremony

In the late afternoon, drive approximately 30 km (45–60 minutes) to the iconic Wagah Border.

Witness the famous Beating Retreat Ceremony, a highly energetic and patriotic display performed by Indian and Pakistani soldiers. The synchronized marching, dramatic gestures, and enthusiastic crowd create an unforgettable experience.
