Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati

Upon arrival at Guwahati airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After some relaxation, begin your introduction to Assam with a serene evening experience on the mighty Brahmaputra River. Enjoy a sunset cruise where the golden hues of dusk reflect beautifully on the river, offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and cityscape. This peaceful journey sets the perfect tone for your exploration of Assam’s natural beauty and cultural richness. Return to the hotel after the cruise. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park (Approx. 200 km / 5 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Guwahati with a visit to the revered Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important Shakti Peeths in India, offering spiritual significance and panoramic views of the Brahmaputra valley. Continue exploring key cultural sites before starting your scenic drive to Kaziranga National Park. The journey takes you through lush countryside, tea gardens, and rural Assamese landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at your wildlife resort and relax amidst the tranquil surroundings of the park. The evening is at leisure to enjoy the natural ambiance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Kaziranga National Park – Wildlife Safari Experience

Early morning, embark on an exciting elephant safari in the grasslands of Kaziranga, offering close encounters with the famous one-horned rhinoceros in its natural habitat. Return to the hotel for breakfast and some leisure time. Later, proceed for a thrilling jeep safari across different zones of the park, each offering diverse landscapes of wetlands, forests, and tall elephant grass. Spot a variety of wildlife including elephants, wild buffalo, deer species, and numerous birds. The park is also recognized as a Tiger Reserve and Important Bird Area, making it a paradise for nature lovers. Return to the resort after an adventurous day. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Kaziranga – Majuli Island via Ferry (Approx. 150 km drive + ferry)

After breakfast, drive towards the ferry point at Nimati Ghat to continue your journey to Majuli Island, the world’s largest river island. Enjoy a scenic ferry ride across the Brahmaputra River, witnessing the unique riverine landscape and rural life along its banks. Upon arrival, transfer to your accommodation and check in. Later, begin exploring Majuli’s cultural heritage by visiting traditional monasteries (Sattras) that preserve the teachings of Srimanta Sankardeva. Visit a local Mishing tribal village to experience their lifestyle, stilt houses, and warm hospitality. The island’s peaceful environment offers a unique cultural immersion. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Majuli – Jorhat – Departure

After breakfast, take the ferry back to the mainland and proceed to Jorhat, known as the tea capital of Assam. Begin the city tour with a visit to a tea estate, where you will learn about the tea-making process from plucking to processing, followed by a tasting session of Assam’s world-famous tea. Continue to visit local landmarks such as Thengal Bhawan and scenic water bodies that reflect the colonial charm of the region. Later, you will be transferred to Jorhat airport for your onward journey, marking the end of a memorable Assam experience.
