Day 1: Arrival in Ahmedabad

Upon arrival at Ahmedabad airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After a short rest, the remainder of the day is free to recover from your journey and begin soaking in the energy of Gujarat’s largest city. Ahmedabad sits on the banks of the Sabarmati River and is known for its remarkable blend of old-world charm and modern development. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to explore the hotel surroundings or enjoy a relaxed evening in the city. This first day is designed to keep the pace light so you can settle in comfortably before the journey begins.

Day 2: Begin the City Tour of Ahmedabad

After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Ahmedabad with a visit to Sabarmati Ashram, the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi and one of the most important landmarks of India’s freedom movement. Continue to Jama Masjid, a magnificent mosque known for its elegant yellow sandstone architecture and peaceful courtyard. Proceed to the beautifully latticed Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, famous for its intricate stone jali work and the iconic tree motif that symbolizes craftsmanship at its finest. Later, visit the Adalaj Stepwell, a stunning five-story stepwell that reflects the artistic and engineering brilliance of the past. In the evening, experience the lively atmosphere of Law Garden Market and Manek Chowk, where handicrafts, street food, and local culture come together.

Day 3: Ahmedabad – Modhera – Patan – Dholavira (Approx. 385 kms / 8–9 hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Dholavira, with en route visits to the Modhera Sun Temple and Rani ki Vav. The Modhera Sun Temple, dedicated to the Sun God, is admired for its beautifully proportioned structure, intricately carved pillars, and sacred step tank. Continue to Rani ki Vav in Patan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest stepwells in India, known for its sculptural beauty and mythological carvings. After these heritage visits, continue the drive through the vast and changing landscapes of Kutch. Upon arrival in Dholavira, check in at your hotel and relax in the serene setting of this remarkable archaeological region. The evening is free to unwind after a long but rewarding journey.

Day 4: Dholavira – Little Rann of Kutch (Approx. 255 kms / 6–7 hrs drive)

After breakfast, begin your exploration of Dholavira, one of the most significant cities of the Indus Valley Civilization. Walk through the remains of ancient streets, reservoirs, fortification walls, and public structures that reflect advanced urban planning thousands of years ago. Visit the interpretation area and learn about the ingenuity of Harappan water management and city design. Later, drive to the Little Rann of Kutch, a unique salt marsh ecosystem known for its stark beauty and wildlife richness. Upon arrival in Dasada or Bajana, check in at your resort and relax amidst the quiet desert surroundings.

Day 5: Little Rann Safari – Rajkot (Approx. 160 kms / 3–4 hrs drive)

After an early breakfast, proceed for a jeep safari in the Little Rann of Kutch, home to the endangered Indian Wild Ass and a wide variety of migratory birds. The salt flats and open terrain create a dramatic landscape unlike anywhere else in India, making the safari both scenic and exciting. After the safari, visit nearby tribal villages to interact with the Rabari and Bharwad communities and observe their traditional lifestyle, clothing, and handicrafts. Later, continue your drive to Rajkot, a city closely associated with Mahatma Gandhi and regional heritage. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 6: Rajkot – Gondal – Junagadh – Sasan Gir (Approx. 160 kms / 4–5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Sasan Gir, with interesting heritage stops en route. Visit Gondal’s Navlakha Palace, known for its royal collection, vintage items, and elegant architecture. Continue to Junagadh and explore the impressive Uparkot Fort, an ancient fortification with a long and layered history. Also visit the Ashokan Rock Edicts, which offer a rare glimpse into the legacy of Emperor Ashoka. After completing the sightseeing, proceed to Sasan Gir and check in at your wildlife resort. The evening is free to enjoy the calm forest atmosphere and prepare for the safari experience ahead.

Day 7: Sasan Gir – Diu (Approx. 100 kms / 2–3 hrs drive)

After breakfast, begin the day with an exciting gypsy safari in Gir National Park, one of the last remaining habitats of the Asiatic lion. Along with lions, you may also spot leopards, deer, antelope, and a variety of birdlife depending on the season and safari route. After the safari, visit a crocodile conservation center to learn more about local wildlife protection efforts. Later, drive to Diu, a quiet coastal town known for its Portuguese legacy and peaceful beaches. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening by the sea or at the nearby local markets.

Day 8: Diu Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin a full day of sightseeing in Diu, starting with the historic Diu Fort, which offers sweeping views of the Arabian Sea and surrounding coastline. Continue to St. Paul’s Church, a fine example of Portuguese baroque architecture with detailed woodwork and a tranquil interior. Visit the Diu Museum, housed in the old St. Thomas Church, where artifacts and exhibits narrate the island’s colonial and maritime past. Later, spend time at Nagoa Beach and Ghoghla Beach, both ideal for peaceful walks, sea breeze, and photography. In the evening, enjoy the laid-back coastal environment and local seafood specialties.

Day 9: Diu Departure

After breakfast, enjoy some free time depending on your flight schedule. You may visit Naida Caves, a fascinating network of naturally formed rock chambers, or simply take a final stroll along the beach to enjoy the quiet charm of Diu. If time permits, you may also choose optional water activities or explore the local lanes for last-minute shopping. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. Your tour concludes with a memorable combination of heritage, wildlife, and coastal relaxation across Gujarat.
