Day 1: Arrival in Hyderabad

Upon arrival at Hyderabad airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After completing the check-in formalities, take time to relax and recover from your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore nearby local markets such as Laad Bazaar, famous for traditional bangles and pearls, or enjoy authentic Hyderabadi cuisine at a local restaurant. The day is kept light to allow you to settle in comfortably and prepare for the upcoming exploration. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Hyderabad City Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, begin a full-day guided tour of Hyderabad, a city known for its rich Nizam heritage. Start with a visit to Golconda Fort, a magnificent fortress famous for its acoustics, royal structures, and panoramic views of the city. Continue to the iconic Charminar, the symbol of Hyderabad, located amidst bustling markets and narrow lanes. Visit Mecca Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, followed by the grand Chowmahalla Palace, once the seat of the Nizams, showcasing royal courtyards and exquisite architecture. Later, visit Birla Mandir, a serene marble temple offering scenic views of the city skyline. If time permits, enjoy a drive around Hussain Sagar Lake, known for its large Buddha statue. Day 3: Hyderabad – Badami (Approx. 430 kms / 8 hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out and begin your drive to Badami, covering approximately 430 kilometers through the scenic Deccan plateau. The journey offers glimpses of rural landscapes, small towns, and changing terrain. Upon arrival in Badami, check into your hotel and relax. Later, proceed to visit the famous Badami Cave Temples, carved into red sandstone cliffs and dating back to the 6th century. These caves feature intricate carvings of Hindu deities, showcasing early Chalukyan architecture. Also explore the surroundings including Agastya Lake and the remnants of Badami Fort, offering picturesque views of the region. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Badami – Aihole – Pattadakal Excursion

After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Aihole and Pattadakal, two of the most important heritage sites of Karnataka. Drive to Aihole, known as the “Cradle of Indian Temple Architecture,” where you will explore numerous early Chalukyan temples such as Durga Temple and Lad Khan Temple, showcasing experimental architectural styles. Continue to Pattadakal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its group of beautifully carved temples that blend Dravidian (South Indian) and Nagara (North Indian) architectural styles. Visit key temples including Virupaksha Temple and Mallikarjuna Temple, admired for their intricate sculptures and historical significance. After the sightseeing, return to Badami and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Badami – Hyderabad (Approx. 430 kms / 8 hrs drive) & Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your return journey to Hyderabad, covering approximately 430 kilometers. Enjoy the scenic drive while reflecting on the rich historical and cultural experiences of the tour. Upon arrival in Hyderabad, you will be transferred to the airport or your hotel as per your onward travel arrangements. The tour concludes with memorable impressions of South India’s architectural and cultural heritage.
