The tour culminates in the spectacular ruins of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site and former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, where sprawling temple complexes, royal enclosures, and dramatic boulder landscapes create an extraordinary historical setting. This itinerary offers a perfect blend of cultural immersion, architectural discovery, and scenic travel, making it an enriching South India experience.

 

Day 1: Arrival in Hyderabad

Upon arrival at Hyderabad International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After completing the check-in formalities, the rest of the day is at leisure to relax and recover from your journey. If time permits, you may explore nearby markets or enjoy authentic Hyderabadi cuisine, famous for its rich flavors and royal culinary traditions. The city’s unique blend of heritage and modernity offers a perfect introduction to your journey. Overnight at hotel.


Day 2: Hyderabad City Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, begin a full-day guided city tour of Hyderabad. Start with a visit to Golconda Fort, a magnificent hilltop citadel known for its impressive acoustics, grand gateways, and panoramic views. Continue to the iconic Charminar, a symbol of the city surrounded by bustling markets and traditional bazaars. Visit Mecca Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, admired for its scale and peaceful ambiance. Proceed to Chowmohalla Palace, the former residence of the Nizams, featuring elegant courtyards, royal halls, and vintage collections. Later, explore the renowned Salar Jung Museum, home to an exceptional collection of art and artifacts from around the world. If time permits, enjoy views of Hussain Sagar Lake. Overnight at hotel.


Day 3: Hyderabad – Gulbarga – Bijapur (Approx. 385 kms / 7–8 hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Bijapur, crossing the scenic landscapes of the Deccan plateau. En route, stop at Gulbarga to visit Gulbarga Fort, a massive structure reflecting Bahmani architecture, along with its historic Jama Masjid. You may also visit the revered shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Bande Nawaz, an important Sufi center. Continue your journey towards Bijapur, witnessing rural life and changing terrain along the way. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax. Overnight at hotel.


Day 4: Bijapur Sightseeing – Drive to Hampi (Approx. 215 kms / 5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, begin exploring Bijapur’s architectural marvels. Visit the world-famous Gol Gumbaz, known for its massive dome and remarkable whispering gallery. Continue to Ibrahim Rauza, an elegant mausoleum complex often regarded as a masterpiece of Deccan architecture. Explore Jami Masjid, admired for its vast courtyard and simplicity of design. Visit Malik-e-Maidan, one of the largest medieval cannons in the world, symbolizing the military strength of the Adil Shahi dynasty. Also see Asar Mahal and other heritage structures reflecting the city’s glorious past. Later, drive to Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its surreal landscape and ancient ruins. On arrival, check-in at your hotel. Overnight at hotel.


Day 5: Hampi Full-Day Exploration

After breakfast, embark on a comprehensive exploration of Hampi, one of India’s most remarkable archaeological sites. Begin with Virupaksha Temple, an active temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and a key spiritual center. Continue to the iconic Vithala Temple Complex, famous for its stone chariot and musical pillars. Explore the Royal Enclosure, including Mahanavami Dibba, audience halls, and water structures that reflect the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire. Visit Hazara Rama Temple, known for its detailed Ramayana carvings, followed by Lotus Mahal and Elephant Stables, showcasing Indo-Islamic architectural influences. If time permits, enjoy panoramic sunset views from Matanga Hill, offering breathtaking vistas of the Hampi landscape. Overnight at hotel.


Day 6: Hampi – Hyderabad (Approx. 380 kms / 7–8 hrs drive) & Departure

After breakfast, begin your drive back to Hyderabad. Enjoy the scenic countryside and reflect on the rich historical experiences of your journey. Upon arrival in Hyderabad, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. Tour concludes with unforgettable memories of South India’s heritage and architectural brilliance.
