Day 1: Hyderabad – Badami (430 kms | approx. 8–9 hrs drive)

Begin your journey with a pick-up from your hotel in Hyderabad and drive towards Badami, a historic town nestled among rugged red sandstone cliffs. The scenic drive through the Deccan plateau offers glimpses of rural landscapes, traditional villages, and changing terrain, setting the tone for a culturally enriching experience.

Upon arrival in Badami, check in at your hotel and relax. In the evening, you may explore the surroundings at leisure, enjoying views of ancient rock formations and the tranquil ambiance of this heritage town. The calm atmosphere and historical charm of Badami provide a perfect introduction to Karnataka’s rich past. Overnight at hotel.


Day 2: Badami – Aihole – Pattadakal – Badami

After breakfast, begin a full-day exploration of the Chalukyan architectural marvels. Drive to Aihole, often called the cradle of Indian temple architecture, where over a hundred temples reflect early experimentation in design. Visit prominent structures such as Durga Temple, Lad Khan Temple, and Ravanaphadi Cave, each showcasing intricate carvings and unique styles.

Continue to Pattadakal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its grand temple complexes. Explore masterpieces like Virupaksha Temple, Sangameshwara Temple, and the Jain Temple, which beautifully blend Dravidian and Nagara architectural elements.

Day 3: Badami – Hampi (160 kms | approx. 4 hrs drive) + Half Day Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive to Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located along the Tungabhadra River and once the flourishing capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax.

Later, begin a half-day sightseeing tour of Hampi. Visit the sacred Virupaksha Temple, one of the oldest functioning temples in India, followed by a walk through Hampi Bazaar, once a thriving marketplace during the empire’s peak.

Continue to Hemakuta Hill temples, offering panoramic views of the surreal boulder-strewn landscape and ancient ruins scattered across the region. This relaxed introduction allows you to absorb the spiritual and historical essence of Hampi. Overnight at hotel.


Day 4: Hampi Half Day Sightseeing + Anegundi Village Experience

After breakfast, continue your exploration of Hampi’s iconic monuments. Visit the magnificent Vithala Temple Complex, famous for its stone chariot and musical pillars, showcasing extraordinary craftsmanship. Proceed to Hazara Rama Temple, known for its detailed carvings depicting scenes from the Ramayana.

Day 5: Hampi – Hyderabad (380 kms | approx. 7–8 hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your return journey to Hyderabad. Enjoy the scenic drive through Karnataka’s countryside, reflecting on the rich heritage and architectural wonders experienced throughout the tour.

Upon arrival in Hyderabad, you will be dropped at your hotel or airport, marking the end of a memorable journey through South India’s glorious past.
