The itinerary transitions into the coastal charm of Puri, complemented by visits to Chilika Lake and the iconic Konark Sun Temple. The tour concludes in Bhubaneshwar, renowned for its ancient temples and architectural heritage. Day 1: Arrival in Kolkata – Begin the City Tour

Upon arrival in Kolkata, you will be warmly received and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and some time to relax, begin the city tour of Kolkata, a city known for its colonial heritage and cultural vibrancy.

Visit the iconic Victoria Memorial, a grand marble structure reflecting British-era architecture, followed by the Indian Museum, one of the oldest museums in India showcasing historical artifacts. Continue to Howrah Bridge, an engineering landmark, and visit Dakshineswar Kali Temple, an important spiritual site.

Also explore St. Paul’s Cathedral, known for its Gothic architecture. As you drive through the city, experience its vibrant streets, colonial buildings, and cultural atmosphere.

Day 2: Kolkata – Cultural Immersion and Local Experiences

After breakfast at the hotel, continue your exploration of Kolkata. Begin with a visit to the Mother House, the headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity, associated with Mother Teresa.

Proceed to Kumartuli, a traditional artisan district where craftsmen create clay idols, offering a unique cultural experience. Visit Marble Palace, known for its impressive architecture and art collection.

Later, explore local markets and experience the lively atmosphere of Kolkata’s streets. In the evening, enjoy a serene boat ride on the Hooghly River, offering beautiful views of the city skyline and ghats.

Day 3: Kolkata – Similipal Tiger Reserve (Approx. 300 kms / 7–8 hrs drive)

After breakfast, begin your journey as you drive to Similipal Tiger Reserve. The route takes you through changing landscapes, from urban surroundings to rural countryside and forested areas.

The drive covers approximately 300 kilometers and takes around 7 to 8 hours. Along the way, observe local village life, agricultural fields, and scenic natural surroundings.

Upon arrival, check in at your jungle lodge or eco-resort, nestled amidst forest landscapes. Spend the evening relaxing and enjoying the tranquil ambiance of the wilderness.

Day 4: Similipal Tiger Reserve – Wildlife Safari Experience

After an early breakfast, proceed for a jeep safari inside Similipal Tiger Reserve, one of India’s most biodiverse forest reserves.

Explore dense sal forests, rolling hills, and riverine landscapes while searching for wildlife such as elephants, gaurs, deer, and various bird species. The reserve is also known for its rare melanistic tigers, making it a unique destination for wildlife enthusiasts.

During the safari, you may also encounter scenic waterfalls, forest streams, and elevated viewpoints offering panoramic views of the reserve.

After the safari, return to your lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the peaceful surroundings or taking a nature walk nearby.

Day 5: Similipal – Bhitarkanika National Park (Approx. 200 kms / 5–6 hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Bhitarkanika National Park, passing through rural landscapes and small towns of Odisha.

Upon arrival, check in at your jungle resort or eco-cottage. Later, embark on a boat safari through the mangrove forests, navigating narrow creeks and waterways.

Observe estuarine crocodiles basking along the riverbanks, along with a variety of bird species and aquatic life. The mangrove ecosystem offers a unique and immersive nature experience.

Return to your accommodation and relax in the natural surroundings.

Day 6: Bhitarkanika – Puri (Approx. 225 kms / 6 hrs drive)

After breakfast, you may enjoy a short exploration or birdwatching experience in Bhitarkanika before beginning your drive to Puri.

The journey covers approximately 225 kilometers and takes around 6 hours, offering scenic views of rural Odisha and coastal transitions.

Upon arrival in Puri, check in at your beach resort. In the evening, visit the famous Jagannath Temple and experience its spiritual ambiance. You may also spend time along the beach, enjoying the coastal atmosphere.

Day 7: Puri – Chilika Lake – Konark Sun Temple – Puri

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Chilika Lake, located approximately 50 kilometers away (around 1.5 hours drive).

Enjoy a boat ride on the lake, known for its vast expanse, scenic beauty, and migratory bird population. Visit Kalijai Island Temple and observe the tranquil surroundings.

Later, drive to Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its unique chariot-shaped structure and intricate stone carvings. Explore the temple complex and learn about its historical and architectural significance.

After sightseeing, return to Puri and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 8: Puri – Bhubaneshwar (Approx. 65 kms / 1.5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Bhubaneshwar, covering approximately 65 kilometers in around 1.5 hours.

En route, visit Dhauli, known for its Peace Pagoda and association with Emperor Ashoka. Upon arrival in Bhubaneshwar, begin the city tour visiting Mukteshwar Temple, Rajarani Temple, and Lingaraj Temple, each showcasing classic Kalinga architecture.

After completing the sightseeing, you will be transferred to Bhubaneshwar airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your tour.
