Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar & Maheshwar Jyotirlinga & Shiva Temple Tour

Day 1: Indore Arrival – Ujjain – Indore (Approx. 60 kms one way / 1.5 hrs)

Upon arrival at Indore airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and some relaxation, begin your excursion to Ujjain, one of India’s most sacred cities and a major pilgrimage center.

Begin your visit at the revered Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, known for its powerful spiritual aura and unique Bhasma Aarti rituals. Continue your temple tour with visits to Kal Bhairav Temple, dedicated to the fierce form of Lord Shiva, and Harsiddhi Temple, one of the Shakti Peethas with immense religious significance. You may also visit Ram Ghat on the banks of the Shipra River, where pilgrims perform sacred rituals.

After a spiritually fulfilling day, drive back to Indore. Upon arrival, relax at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Indore – Omkareshwar – Maheshwar (Approx. 145 kms / 4 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Omkareshwar, a sacred island town shaped like the Hindu symbol “Om” and situated on the holy Narmada River.

Visit the revered Omkareshwar Temple, another of the 12 Jyotirlingas, known for its spiritual significance and peaceful surroundings. Explore the temple complex and enjoy the serene atmosphere of the riverbanks. You may also take a walk along the ghats or perform rituals in the sacred waters of the Narmada River.

Later, drive to Maheshwar, a historic town known for its cultural heritage and scenic beauty. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel located along the Narmada River. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful walk along the ghats, witnessing the sunset over the river and soaking in the tranquil ambiance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Maheshwar – Mandu – Indore (Approx. 135 kms / 3.5 hrs)

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the magnificent Maheshwar Fort, built by the Holkar dynasty and overlooking the Narmada River. Explore its intricately carved balconies, temples, and the palace of Rani Ahilyabai Holkar, reflecting rich Maratha heritage. Walk through the ghats and witness local artisans weaving the famous Maheshwari sarees.

Later, drive to Mandu, an ancient fortified city known for its Afghan architecture and romantic legends. Visit Jahaz Mahal, a stunning palace that appears to float between two lakes, and explore Hoshang Shah’s Tomb, considered India’s first marble structure. Continue to Rupmati’s Pavilion, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and the Narmada River.

After exploring Mandu, drive back to Indore. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your spiritual and cultural tour.
