This 7-day Manali and Shimla tour is designed to showcase the best of Himachal Pradesh’s natural beauty and colonial heritage. Start with Manali’s serene landscapes, temples, and adventure-filled Rohtang Pass. Drive through scenic mountain routes to Shimla, where colonial architecture, vibrant streets, and surrounding hill destinations like Chail and Kufri await. With a balance of sightseeing, leisure, and cultural experiences, this itinerary is ideal for families, couples, and nature lovers seeking a refreshing Himalayan escape.

 

Day 1: Arrival in Kullu – Drive to Manali via Manikaran (Approx. 80 km / 3–4 hrs)

Upon arrival at Kullu Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and begin your scenic drive towards Manali. En route, visit Manikaran, a sacred pilgrimage site known for its natural hot springs and spiritual significance. Explore the Gurudwara and temples, and witness the unique phenomenon of boiling water used for cooking. Continue your drive through the beautiful Parvati Valley surrounded by lush greenery and mountains. Upon arrival in Manali, check-in at the hotel and relax. Evening at leisure to enjoy the cool mountain atmosphere. Overnight at hotel in Manali.


Day 2: Manali Local Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Manali. Visit the famous Hidimba Devi Temple, set amidst cedar forests and known for its unique architecture. Continue to Vashisht Village, famous for its hot water springs and ancient temples. Visit the Tibetan Monastery to experience local culture and handicrafts. Explore Manu Temple located in Old Manali, offering scenic views and spiritual significance. Later, stroll through Old Manali with its charming cafes and traditional houses. End the day with a visit to Mall Road for shopping and local cuisine. Overnight at hotel in Manali.


Day 3: Manali – Excursion to Rohtang Pass (Approx. 51 km / 2–3 hrs one way)

After early breakfast, drive to Rohtang Pass (subject to weather and permit), one of the highest motorable passes in the region. The drive offers spectacular views of glaciers, snow-capped peaks, and mountain landscapes. Enjoy time in the snowfields, photography, and optional activities like snow scooters. The fresh mountain air and breathtaking scenery make this a highlight of the tour. Return to Manali in the afternoon. Evening at leisure for shopping or relaxation. Overnight at hotel in Manali.


Day 4: Manali – Drive to Shimla (Approx. 250 km / 7–8 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Shimla, the former summer capital of British India. The journey takes you through scenic valleys, rivers, and hill roads. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, explore Mall Road and Lakkar Bazaar, known for shopping and local crafts. Enjoy the lively atmosphere and colonial charm of the town. Overnight at hotel in Shimla.


Day 5: Shimla Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin the city tour of Shimla. Visit Jakhoo Temple, located on the highest hill, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Continue to Christ Church, one of the oldest churches in North India, located on The Ridge. Visit the Viceregal Lodge (Indian Institute of Advanced Study), showcasing colonial architecture and history. Explore Scandal Point and enjoy leisure time walking along Mall Road. Day 6: Shimla – Excursion to Chail & Kufri (Approx. 45 km / 1.5 hrs one way)

After breakfast, drive to Chail, a peaceful hill station known for its royal heritage. Visit Chail Palace and enjoy its beautiful surroundings. Explore the world’s highest cricket ground located amidst pine forests. Later, proceed to Kufri, a popular destination known for its scenic landscapes and adventure activities. Visit Himalayan Nature Park and enjoy optional activities like horse riding. The day offers a mix of nature, adventure, and relaxation. Return to Shimla in the evening. Overnight at hotel in Shimla.


Day 7: Shimla – Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and transfer to Chandigarh Airport or railway station (approx. 120 km / 4 hrs) for your onward journey. The tour concludes with beautiful memories of Himachal Pradesh’s scenic landscapes, cultural heritage, and refreshing mountain experiences
