The tour then takes you deep into the Sundarbans, a UNESCO-listed mangrove ecosystem famous for its unique biodiversity and Royal Bengal Tigers. With guided city tours, scenic drives, and immersive boat safaris, this itinerary provides an enriching mix of culture, history, and nature.
Day 1: Arrive Mumbai
Upon arrival at Mumbai International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After some time to relax, you may explore the surroundings or take a short walk through nearby markets. Mumbai, known as India’s financial capital, offers a vibrant mix of culture, history, and modern lifestyle. In the evening, you may enjoy a leisurely stroll along Marine Drive or relax at the hotel after your journey. Overnight at hotel in Mumbai.
Day 2: Mumbai City Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Mumbai. Visit the Gateway of India, followed by a boat ride to the Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient rock-cut temples. Return to the city and drive past Marine Drive, enjoying scenic coastal views. Continue to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a fine example of Victorian Gothic architecture, and visit Dhobi Ghat, the world’s largest open-air laundry. Explore Mani Bhavan, associated with Mahatma Gandhi, and later visit the ISKCON Temple. If time permits, explore areas such as Bandra and Juhu. Return to the hotel after sightseeing. Day 3: Mumbai – Kolkata (By Flight)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Kolkata. Upon arrival, you will be received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Check in and relax after the journey. Kolkata, known as the cultural capital of India, offers a blend of colonial heritage, art, and tradition. Day 4: Kolkata Sightseeing
After breakfast at the hotel, begin the full-day city tour of Kolkata. Visit Victoria Memorial, an iconic colonial-era monument and museum. Continue to Fort William and Netaji Bhawan, associated with India’s freedom movement. Drive past the famous Howrah Bridge, an engineering landmark over the Hooghly River. Later, visit Dakshineswar Kali Temple, a revered spiritual site located on the riverbank. Explore local markets and experience the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Return to the hotel after sightseeing. Day 5: Kolkata – Sunderban Mangrove Forest
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the Sundarbans covering approx. 110 kms / 3–4 hours, followed by a short boat transfer to your resort. Upon arrival, check in and relax amidst the peaceful natural surroundings. The Sundarbans is the world’s largest mangrove forest and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to diverse wildlife including the Royal Bengal Tiger. Spend the afternoon at leisure or explore the nearby village environment. Overnight at hotel/resort in Sundarbans.
Day 6: Sunderban Exploration
After breakfast at the resort, embark on a boat safari through the narrow creeks and waterways of the Sundarbans. Experience the dense mangrove forests and keep watch for wildlife such as crocodiles, spotted deer, and a variety of bird species. Visit Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower and other observation points known for wildlife sightings. Later, enjoy a village walk to interact with local communities and understand their unique lifestyle in this region. Return to the resort and relax in the tranquil surroundings. Day 7: Sunderban – Kolkata Departure
After breakfast at the resort, transfer by boat to the jetty and then drive back to Kolkata covering approx. 110 kms / 3–4 hours. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. Your tour concludes with memorable experiences of vibrant cities and the unique ecosystem of the Sundarbans.
