Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Drive to Thimphu (Approx. 55 km / 1.5 hrs)
Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and begin your scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s peaceful capital. The drive follows the Paro and Thimphu river valleys, offering picturesque views of traditional villages and forested hills. En route, visit the historic Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge, built by the legendary saint Thangthong Gyalpo, showcasing Bhutan’s ancient engineering and spiritual heritage.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing – Drive to Punakha/Wangdue (Approx. 75 km / 3 hrs)
After breakfast, begin the city tour of Thimphu with a visit to the sacred National Memorial Chorten, a place of daily worship for locals. Continue to the massive Buddha Dordenma statue, offering sweeping views of the valley and a serene ambiance. Visit Tashichho Dzong, an impressive fortress housing government offices and the king’s throne room, followed by the Folk Heritage Museum to understand Bhutanese rural life and traditions.
Later, drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass, where 108 chortens stand against the backdrop of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, beautifully located at the confluence of two rivers and considered one of Bhutan’s most stunning architectural landmarks. Day 3: Punakha/Wangdue to Paro (Approx. 130 km / 4–5 hrs)
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Paro, enjoying scenic mountain views and peaceful countryside landscapes along the way. En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress-monastery in Bhutan, known for its intricate wood carvings and deep spiritual significance.
Upon arrival in Paro, check in at your hotel and proceed to visit the National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong), which houses an impressive collection of artifacts, paintings, and relics reflecting Bhutan’s rich heritage. Upon reaching the monastery, perched dramatically on a cliffside, explore its temples and meditation caves while soaking in the spiritual atmosphere.
