Continue to Satpura National Park, one of India’s most pristine and less crowded reserves, where multiple safaris and scenic experiences reveal its rugged beauty and rich biodiversity. The journey then transitions into history and heritage with visits to the ancient Bhimbetka Rock Shelters, showcasing prehistoric cave art, and the iconic Sanchi Stupa, reflecting India’s deep-rooted Buddhist legacy. With carefully planned drives, expert-guided safaris, and enriching cultural stops, this itinerary promises an immersive and unforgettable experience.

 

Day 1: Arrive Nagpur – City Tour

Upon arrival at Nagpur airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and some time to refresh, begin your city tour of Nagpur, known as the geographical center of India. Visit Sitabuldi Fort, an important historical landmark associated with colonial-era battles, followed by Deekshabhoomi (Dhamma Chakra Stupa), one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and a significant pilgrimage site. Continue to the Central Museum (closed on Mondays), where you can explore a rich collection of sculptures, fossils, and tribal artifacts. Later, return to your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Nagpur.


Day 2: Nagpur – Pench National Park (Approx. 100 kms / 2–3 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your scenic drive to Pench National Park covering approx. 100 kms in 2–3 hours. En route, visit the sacred Ramtek Fort and temples, offering panoramic views and deep mythological significance. Continue your drive through rural landscapes and forested patches to reach Pench. Upon arrival, check in at your jungle resort. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the tranquil surroundings, bird sounds, and forest ambiance. Overnight at resort in Pench.


Day 3: Pench National Park – Morning & Afternoon Safaris

Early morning, begin your first scheduled gypsy safari in Pench National Park accompanied by an experienced naturalist. The park, famous for inspiring Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book, features teak forests, open grasslands, and riverine habitats. During the safari, look out for Bengal tigers, leopards, wild dogs, sloth bears, and herds of deer, along with a rich variety of birdlife. Return to your resort for breakfast and relaxation.

After lunch, proceed for a second scheduled afternoon gypsy safari, exploring a different zone of the park where changing light conditions offer unique wildlife sightings and excellent photography opportunities. Return to the resort by evening. Overnight at Pench.


Day 4: Pench – Morning Safari – Satpura National Park (Approx. 200 kms / 5 hrs)

Start your day early with another morning gypsy safari in Pench National Park, maximizing your chances of spotting predators during peak activity hours. Return to the resort for breakfast and check-out.

Later, drive to Satpura National Park covering approx. 200 kms in around 5 hours through scenic countryside and tribal regions. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge. In the evening, visit the fascinating Panch Pandav Caves, believed to date back to the Mahabharata era, and explore the surrounding natural beauty. Overnight at Satpura.


Day 5: Satpura National Park – Morning & Afternoon Safaris

After breakfast, embark on a morning gypsy safari in Satpura National Park, one of India’s most unique wildlife reserves known for its untouched landscapes, hills, and dense forests. Spot wildlife such as tigers, leopards, Indian gaur (bison), giant squirrels, and a wide variety of bird species.

Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, proceed for another scheduled gypsy safari, exploring deeper zones of the park. Satpura offers a more intimate and less crowded safari experience, making wildlife sightings more immersive. Overnight at Satpura.


Day 6: Satpura – Morning Safari – Bhopal via Bhimbetka (Approx. 190 kms / 4–5 hrs)

Early morning, enjoy your final gypsy safari in Satpura National Park, experiencing the forest at sunrise when wildlife is most active. After breakfast, check out and drive to Bhopal covering approx. 190 kms in 4–5 hours.

En route, visit the UNESCO-listed Bhimbetka Rock Shelters, home to prehistoric cave paintings dating back over 30,000 years. Continue to Bhojpur to explore the ancient Shiva temple with its massive lingam. Arrive in Bhopal and check in at your hotel. Overnight at Bhopal.


Day 7: Bhopal – Excursion to Sanchi (Approx. 50 kms one way / 1.5 hrs)

After breakfast, begin an excursion to Sanchi Stupa, located approx. 50 kms (1.5 hours drive one way). Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring ancient stupas, monasteries, and intricately carved gateways that narrate the life of Buddha.

Continue to visit the nearby Udayagiri Caves, known for their early Hindu rock-cut sculptures and historical significance. Later, drive back to Bhopal and enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight at Bhopal.


Day 8: Bhopal – Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your day with a visit to Bhoj Wetland, a serene Ramsar site known for birdwatching and scenic beauty. Later, depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Bhopal airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your enriching wildlife and heritage tour.
