Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati
Upon arrival at Guwahati airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, begin your city exploration with visits to the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti shrines in India, followed by the Navagraha Temple known for its astrological significance. Continue to Umananda Island, home to the historic Umananda Temple. In the evening, you may opt to enjoy a serene sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River, witnessing spectacular views of the riverbanks and local life. Day 2: Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park (Approx. 200 km / 5 hrs drive)
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its population of one-horned rhinoceroses. The scenic drive passes through lush tea gardens and rural Assamese landscapes, offering glimpses of local life. Upon arrival, check in at your wildlife resort and relax amidst natural surroundings. In the afternoon, embark on a guided jeep safari exploring the park’s grasslands and wetlands, where you may spot rhinos, elephants, swamp deer, and a variety of bird species. Day 3: Kaziranga National Park – Wildlife Exploration

Day 4: Kaziranga – Nameri National Park (Approx. 100 km / 3 hrs drive)

Upon arrival, check in at your eco-lodge and relax amidst tranquil surroundings. Day 5: Nameri National Park – Safari & Nature Experience
After breakfast, set out for a morning safari exploring the rich biodiversity of Nameri’s dense forests and grasslands. Day 6: Nameri – Majuli Island (Approx. 200 km drive + ferry)
After breakfast, drive to Nimati Ghat and board a ferry across the mighty Brahmaputra River to reach Majuli Island. Enjoy the scenic ferry journey with panoramic river views and glimpses of local life along the banks. Upon arrival, transfer to your lodge and check in. Later, visit traditional monasteries (Sattras) that preserve Assam’s Neo-Vaishnavite culture established by Srimanta Sankardeva. Day 7: Majuli – Jorhat – Departure
After breakfast, transfer to the ferry point and cross back to the mainland before driving to Jorhat, known as the tea capital of Assam. Depending on time, you may visit a tea estate to understand the process of tea production and enjoy a tasting session of Assam’s finest blends. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey, concluding your memorable exploration of North East India’s temples, wildlife, tribal culture, and river landscapes.
