Ooty Escapade: A 3-day adventure in the lap of the Nilgiris

Day 1: Coimbatore – Ooty (Approx. 85 km / 3–4 hrs)

Upon arrival in Coimbatore, you will be greeted by our representative and begin your scenic drive to Ooty. The route takes you through the winding roads of the Western Ghats, offering refreshing views of forests, tea estates, small villages, and mountain landscapes. As you ascend toward the Nilgiris, the climate becomes cooler and the surroundings more serene, creating the perfect introduction to your hill station holiday. On arrival in Ooty, check in at your hotel and relax after the journey. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the peaceful environment and colonial charm of the town. Day 2: Ooty Full-Day Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your city tour of Ooty with a visit to Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiri Hills. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys, tea plantations, and forested slopes. Continue to the Government Rose Garden, home to thousands of rose varieties arranged in beautifully landscaped terraces. The colorful blooms and fragrant air make this one of the most delightful attractions in Ooty. Later, proceed to Ooty Lake, where you can enjoy a peaceful boat ride amid scenic surroundings. Visit the unique Thread Garden, a creative attraction where flowers and plants are handcrafted entirely from thread. Continue to the Government Botanical Garden, known for its lush lawns, exotic trees, and well-maintained flower beds. If time permits, you may also visit a tea factory or local tea estate to understand the region’s tea heritage and enjoy a tasting session. Return to your hotel in the evening and relax. Day 3: Ooty – Coonoor by Toy Train – Coimbatore (Approx. 85 km / 3–4 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed for the much-awaited Nilgiri Mountain Railway journey from Ooty to Coonoor. This UNESCO-recognized heritage train ride is one of the highlights of the tour, passing through tunnels, bridges, tea estates, and misty hill landscapes. The journey offers a charming old-world experience and some of the most scenic views in South India. Upon arrival in Coonoor, visit Sim’s Park, a beautifully maintained botanical garden with a wide variety of flowers, trees, and exotic plants. Continue to Dolphin’s Nose, a spectacular viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the Nilgiri Hills and deep valleys below. After sightseeing in Coonoor, begin your drive back to Coimbatore, enjoying the scenic descent through the hills. On arrival in Coimbatore, you will be transferred to the airport or your hotel for your onward journey. The tour concludes with beautiful memories of Ooty’s serene charm and the Nilgiris’ natural beauty.
