Begin your journey with a pick-up from your hotel in Pune and drive to Raigad Fort, located approximately 130 kilometers away. The drive takes around 4 hours and passes through scenic countryside, winding ghat roads, and lush green landscapes of the Sahyadri mountains.

Upon arrival at the base of Raigad Fort, you can choose to ascend the fort by climbing approximately 1,700 steps or opt for a ropeway ride (direct payment basis), which offers a convenient and scenic ascent with panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.

Once at the top, begin exploring Raigad Fort, which served as the capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s empire. Visit key landmarks such as the Maha Darwaja (main entrance), Nagarkhana Darwaja, and Mena Darwaja, each reflecting the architectural brilliance of the era.

Continue to the royal court area and explore the remains of the fort’s structures that once formed the administrative and residential sections of the kingdom. Visit the statue and Samadhi of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, an important site of historical and cultural significance.

Later, proceed for a lunch break at a local restaurant near the fort (direct payment basis), where you can enjoy regional Maharashtrian cuisine.

After lunch, spend some time exploring the fort’s surroundings, walking along its pathways, and enjoying panoramic views of the Sahyadri ranges and valleys below.

After completing the exploration, descend the fort (via steps or ropeway) and begin your return drive to Pune.
