Day 1: Leh – Khardung La – Nubra Valley (Approx. 160 km / 5–6 hrs)
After an early breakfast at the hotel, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. The journey offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, winding mountain roads, and dramatic high-altitude landscapes. Stop at Khardung La to enjoy panoramic views and capture memorable photographs. Continue the drive descending into the Nubra Valley, following the scenic route along the Shyok River. En route visit Sumur village and explore Samstanling Gompa, a peaceful monastery surrounded by stunning landscapes. Proceed further to Panamik, known for its natural hot springs and serene setting. Later, drive to Hunder village, famous for its unique sand dunes set amidst mountains. Enjoy a mesmerizing sunset over the dunes and optional double-humped camel ride experience. Check-in at your camp or hotel and relax. Overnight at hotel/camp in Nubra Valley.
Day 2: Nubra Valley – Diskit Monastery – Return to Leh (Approx. 160 km / 5–6 hrs)
After breakfast at the hotel, begin the day with a visit to Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest monastery in Nubra Valley. Located on a hilltop, it offers stunning views of the valley and features a giant Maitreya Buddha statue overlooking the region. Explore the monastery complex and experience its peaceful spiritual ambiance. Later, drive back to Leh via Khardung La Pass, enjoying scenic views and photo stops along the way. Arrive in Leh by afternoon and transfer to your hotel or airport for onward arrangements. The tour concludes with unforgettable memories of Ladakh’s landscapes, monasteries, and unique desert beauty.
