Day 2: Shanghai Highlights & Huangpu River Cruise
After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour with a visit to Yu Garden, a beautifully preserved classical garden featuring elegant pavilions, rockeries, and tranquil ponds. Continue to the bustling Yuyuan Bazaar, where you can browse traditional handicrafts, souvenirs, and local delicacies. After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Suzhou, located approximately 100 km / 1.5 to 2 hours from Shanghai. Begin your exploration with a visit to the Humble Administrator’s Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its classical landscaping, elegant pavilions, and serene water features. Continue to the Suzhou Silk Museum, where you will learn about the traditional silk-making process and the city’s historical importance in silk production. Enjoy a scenic canal boat ride, experiencing the charm of Suzhou’s ancient waterways and traditional architecture. Later, drive back to Shanghai and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
