This spiritual journey connects the sacred Buddhist site of Bodh Gaya with the ancient Hindu city of Varanasi. Begin with visits to Nalanda University ruins and Rajgir, rich in Buddhist and Jain heritage. In Bodhgaya, explore the revered Mahabodhi Temple complex and international monasteries. Continue to Varanasi to witness the spiritual rhythm of life along the Ganges River, attend the enchanting Ganga Aarti, and explore Sarnath where Buddha delivered his first sermon.

 

Day 1: Patna – Bodhgaya (175 km / approx. 4–5 hrs drive)

Upon arrival at Patna Airport, you will be warmly received by our representative who will assist you with your luggage and guide you to your private AC vehicle. Begin your journey as you drive to Bodh Gaya, one of the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage destinations in the world.

En route, begin your cultural exploration with a visit to the ancient Nalanda University ruins, once a world-renowned center of learning that attracted scholars from across Asia. Continue your drive to Rajgir, nestled amidst scenic hills, where you will explore important spiritual sites such as Vulture’s Peak, associated with Lord Buddha’s teachings, and other sacred caves and monasteries.

After this enriching en route visit, continue your drive to Bodhgaya. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take time to relax after the journey. The evening is at leisure for personal exploration or quiet reflection in this spiritually charged town. Overnight at hotel in Bodhgaya.


Day 2: Bodhgaya Sightseeing

After a peaceful breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Bodh Gaya, immersing yourself in its profound spiritual significance. Start with a visit to the sacred Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site marking the exact location where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Explore the temple complex, admire the towering structure, and spend time meditating under the revered Bodhi Tree.

Proceed to visit the Vajrasana (Diamond Throne), believed to be the meditation seat of Buddha, followed by the ancient railings dating back centuries. Continue your exploration with visits to various international monasteries including Tibetan, Thai, Japanese, Bhutanese, and Burmese temples, each reflecting distinct architectural styles and spiritual traditions.

Later, explore the Great Buddha Statue and surrounding peaceful gardens, offering a serene ambiance for reflection. In the evening, witness the soothing temple prayers and aarti ceremony at the Mahabodhi Temple complex, creating a deeply spiritual experience. Return to your hotel for overnight stay in Bodhgaya.


Day 3: Bodhgaya – Varanasi (250 km / approx. 5–6 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin your drive to Varanasi, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. The drive takes you through rural landscapes, offering glimpses of local life and countryside charm.

Upon arrival in Varanasi, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax and freshen up. In the evening, proceed towards the ghats of the sacred Ganges River to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony. This grand ritual, performed with lamps, rhythmic chants, and devotional music, is a highlight of any visit to Varanasi and offers a deeply spiritual and cultural experience.

After the ceremony, return to your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Varanasi.


Day 4: Varanasi Sightseeing

Early morning, begin your day with a serene boat ride on the Ganges River at sunrise. Witness the daily rituals performed by pilgrims along the ghats, observe the spiritual rhythm of life, and experience the unique atmosphere of this ancient city.

After the boat ride, return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, begin the city tour of Varanasi with a visit to Banaras Hindu University, one of Asia’s largest residential universities. Continue to visit the unique Bharat Mata Temple, dedicated to Mother India, followed by the Tulsi Manas Temple, associated with the epic Ramcharitmanas.

In the afternoon, drive to Sarnath, an important Buddhist site where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Explore the Dhamekh Stupa, Ashoka Pillar, and surrounding monastery ruins that reflect the rich Buddhist heritage of the region.

After completing the sightseeing, return to Varanasi. The evening is free for leisure activities or exploring local markets for handicrafts and souvenirs. Overnight at hotel in Varanasi.


Day 5: Varanasi Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a relaxed morning before completing your check-out formalities. Our representative will assist you with a timely transfer to Varanasi Airport for your onward journey.
