Day 1: Arrival in Colombo – Begin the City Tour

Upon arrival at the international airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Colombo. After check-in, begin the city tour exploring the vibrant blend of colonial heritage and modern life. Visit key landmarks including the historic Fort area and the bustling Pettah Market, known for its lively streets and local trade. Continue to Independence Square and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, reflecting Sri Lanka’s post-independence pride. Explore the serene Gangaramaya Temple, a prominent Buddhist site showcasing unique architecture and cultural artifacts. Spend the evening at leisure soaking in the city's lively atmosphere. Day 2: Colombo to Dambulla (Approx. 160 km / 4 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Dambulla, located in Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle. En route, visit the renowned Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can observe rescued elephants being cared for, including feeding and bathing sessions by the river. Continue your journey through scenic countryside landscapes dotted with coconut plantations and rural villages. Upon arrival in Dambulla, check in to your hotel and relax amidst peaceful surroundings. Evening at leisure to enjoy the tranquil ambiance. Overnight at hotel in Dambulla.


Day 3: Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya & Habarana Experience

After breakfast, drive to Polonnaruwa (Approx. 60 km / 1.5 hrs), the ancient medieval capital of Sri Lanka. Begin the city tour exploring well-preserved ruins including royal palaces, temples, and remarkable stone sculptures such as Gal Vihara. Continue to Habarana for an exciting elephant experience in a natural environment, offering a unique opportunity to observe these gentle giants closely. Later, proceed to Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Approx. 15 km / 30 mins) and begin the climb to this iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover ancient frescoes, mirror walls, and landscaped gardens as you ascend to the summit, rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views. Return to Dambulla in the evening. Day 4: Dambulla to Kandy (Approx. 75 km / 2 hrs)

After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to the Dambulla Cave Temple, an impressive complex of ancient caves adorned with intricate murals and over 150 Buddha statues. Continue your journey to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. En route, visit a spice garden in Matale, where you will learn about Sri Lanka’s famous spices and their traditional uses. Upon arrival in Kandy, begin the city tour with a visit to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most revered Buddhist sites in the world. Later, explore a gem museum and enjoy a traditional cultural dance performance showcasing Sri Lanka’s vibrant heritage. Overnight at hotel in Kandy.


Day 5: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya (Approx. 80 km / 2–3 hrs + Train Journey)

After breakfast, visit the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, famous for its vast collection of orchids and tropical plants. Proceed to the railway station to board a scenic train to Nuwara Eliya, one of the most picturesque train journeys in the world. Travel through misty mountains, cascading waterfalls, and lush tea plantations, offering breathtaking views at every turn. Upon arrival, continue the drive to Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as “Little England” for its colonial charm and cool climate. Explore the town, including Gregory Lake and surrounding tea estates. Day 6: Departure or Optional Extension to Bentota (Approx. 170 km / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed for your onward journey. You may choose to drive to the airport in Colombo for departure, or opt for an extension to the coastal town of Bentota, known for its pristine beaches and relaxing seaside ambiance. Reflect on your enriching journey through Sri Lanka’s cultural treasures, scenic landscapes, and memorable experiences.
