Day 1: Arrival in Bhubaneswar – Temple Exploration

Upon arrival in Bhubaneswar, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Bhubaneswar, famously known as the “City of Temples.”

Start with a visit to Lingaraj Temple, one of the finest examples of Kalinga architecture dedicated to Lord Shiva. Continue to Mukteswara Temple, known for its intricate carvings and beautifully sculpted archway.

Proceed to Rajarani Temple, admired for its unique architecture and detailed sculptures depicting celestial themes. Later, visit Dhauli, a historic site associated with Emperor Ashoka and the Kalinga War, featuring a Peace Pagoda and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

After sightseeing, return to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Bhubaneswar – Bhitarkanika via Buddhist Heritage Sites

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Bhitarkanika National Park (approx. 170 kms / 4–5 hrs).

En route, visit the ancient Buddhist sites of Lalitgiri, known for its stupas and monasteries that date back to early Buddhism. Continue to Ratnagiri, which houses impressive monastic ruins and intricate sculptures reflecting Odisha’s Buddhist heritage.

Further proceed to Udayagiri, famous for its rock-cut caves, inscriptions, and historical significance. These sites together provide a deep insight into the evolution of Buddhism in eastern India.

Later, continue your journey to Bhitarkanika. Upon arrival, check-in at your eco-resort and relax amidst the tranquil natural surroundings. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Bhitarkanika National Park – Mangrove & Wildlife Experience

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full-day exploration of Bhitarkanika National Park, one of India’s most important mangrove ecosystems.

Enjoy a thrilling boat safari through the dense mangrove forests, navigating narrow creeks and waterways. Spot estuarine crocodiles basking along the banks, along with a variety of bird species such as kingfishers, herons, and egrets. The region is also home to water monitor lizards and diverse aquatic life.

Visit Dangamal, the core area of the park, where you can explore watchtowers and gain insights into the park’s unique ecosystem and conservation efforts.

Spend the rest of the day enjoying the serene environment or taking short nature walks within the designated areas. Return to your accommodation. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Bhitarkanika – Bhubaneswar Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive back to Bhubaneswar (approx. 170 kms / 4–5 hrs).

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport or your preferred location for your onward journey. The tour concludes with memorable experiences of Odisha’s temples, heritage, and unique mangrove ecosystem.
