Day 1: Arrival in Tokyo – Modern Highlights & City Exploration
Upon arrival in Tokyo, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in and freshening up. Day 2: Excursion to Nikko or Kamakura – Cultural Discovery
After breakfast at the hotel, choose between two enriching full-day excursions.
Option 1: Drive to Nikko, located approximately 150 km / 2.5 to 3 hours from Tokyo. Visit the magnificent Nikko Toshogu Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its intricate carvings, vibrant colors, and historical significance. Explore nearby temples such as Rinno-ji and enjoy the scenic beauty of the surrounding forests and lakes, including Lake Chuzenji.
Option 2: Drive to Kamakura, located approximately 60 km / 1 to 1.5 hours from Tokyo. Begin your exploration at the Great Buddha of Kamakura, an impressive bronze statue symbolizing peace and spirituality. Continue to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, known for its beautiful grounds and cultural significance. Enjoy time exploring local streets, temples, and coastal scenery before returning to Tokyo in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Asakusa, Cultural Experience & Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, begin your day with a visit to the historic Asakusa area.
