Vadodara to Statue of Unity

Day 1: Vadodara – Kevadia (100 kms | approx. 2–3 hrs drive)

Begin your journey with a pick-up from your hotel in Vadodara after breakfast and drive towards Kevadia, located on the banks of the Narmada River. Enjoy a comfortable drive through scenic countryside landscapes as you head towards one of India’s most iconic modern landmarks.

Upon arrival, begin your sightseeing with a visit to the Sardar Sarovar Dam, one of the largest dams in India. Learn about its engineering significance and its role in irrigation and power generation while enjoying stunning views of the reservoir and surrounding hills.

Continue to the Valley of Flowers, a beautifully landscaped garden stretching along the river, filled with vibrant seasonal blooms, artistic plantations, and peaceful walking paths. Take time to relax, click photographs, and soak in the natural beauty of this serene attraction.

In the evening, proceed to witness the Light and Sound Show at the Statue of Unity (closed on Mondays), an immersive experience that narrates the life and achievements of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel through lights, visuals, and storytelling.

After the show, check in at your hotel or tent accommodation in Kevadia. Enjoy dinner (if included) and unwind after a day of exploration. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Kevadia – Vadodara (100 kms | approx. 2–3 hrs drive)

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the Statue of Unity, the tallest statue in the world standing at 182 meters. Admire the sheer scale and architectural brilliance of this monument dedicated to India’s Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Take a high-speed elevator ride to the observation deck, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Narmada River, surrounding hills, and the dam. Explore the in-house museum and exhibition hall that showcases the life, vision, and contributions of Sardar Patel along with India’s unification history.

You may also explore nearby attractions such as the viewing gallery, gardens, and surrounding viewpoints depending on time and interest.

Later, begin your drive back to Vadodara. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at your hotel or airport, concluding your enriching and memorable short escape into Gujarat’s pride and natural beauty.
